This traditional jumper board is designed to help properly block and dry hand-knit garments. Inspired by the classic Shetland design, jumper boards are used to shape sweaters after washing so stitches settle evenly and garments dry in their intended form.

Each board is handcrafted in the United States by Amish woodworkers, using carefully selected hardwoods chosen for their strength, stability, and natural beauty. The smooth wooden surface provides a sturdy base for gently stretching and shaping wool garments while they dry, helping maintain consistent sizing and stitch definition.

Available in seasoned cherry or hard maple, each board highlights the natural character of the wood. The solid hardwood construction ensures durability and dependable performance for knitters who want a traditional tool for caring for handmade garments.

Features

  • Handcrafted in the USA by Amish woodworkers
  • Made from solid hardwood, available in seasoned cherry or hard maple
  • Smooth, durable surface suitable for blocking knitted garments
  • Traditional design inspired by Shetland jumper boards
  • Built for long-term use in caring for hand-knit garments

Note: The natural color of seasoned cherry wood makes it particularly suitable for blocking darker garments. While unlikely, cherry may transfer a small amount of color to very light fabrics, so caution is recommended when blocking light-colored clothing. Hard maple does not carry this concern.  Sweater not included.
