The Clan Douglas Homestead is rooted in a deep appreciation for heritage, craftsmanship, and a slower, more intentional way of life. What began as a passion for traditional fiber arts has grown into a working homestead centered around raising Shetland sheep and producing natural, high-quality wool.
In 2025, we planted new roots in Lewisburg, Tennessee. This move created the opportunity to expand both our land and our vision. It marked an exciting new chapter for our homestead and allows us to grow more sustainably, care for our animals with more space, and continue building something meaningful for our family and community.
With our move came the opportunity to expand our flock. We have welcomed an additional ewe and ram, strengthening our breeding program and continuing our commitment to preserving the unique qualities of Shetland sheep. Each animal is carefully selected for temperament, fiber quality, and overall health to ensure a strong and resilient flock.
We are proud to share that this past breeding season has been a success. Our lambs are currently being raised here on the homestead, receiving attentive care and growing into the next generation of our flock. Watching them thrive is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do and a reminder of why we chose this path.
